PP Simulator Guide

The PP Simulator automates production planning — from a Sales Demand Snapshot to issued Work Orders — in six steps:

Select SDS — Pick a Confirmed Sales Demand Snapshot from the left panel combo box.
Select Line — Choose the specific SDS line (seq) to plan.
Check Production Basis — Validates BOM, Routing, Capacity Plan slots, Work Calendar, and SEMI item classification. ✅ = pass, ❌ = missing master data, ⚠️ = warning.
Run Simulation (dry run) — Generates prd-demands for ALL routing steps, then backward-allocates each prd-demand across CapaPlan shifts from due date. The Simulation tab shows per-prd-demand Proposal Grids (date, shift, WC, existing load, allocation, free capacity) and the SEMI Availability table. If a primary WC cannot fully allocate, the backup WC (if configured) is automatically tried.
SEMI Availability — Below the proposal grids, shows each BOM child's action (PRODUCE/FLATTEN/SKIP), gross qty, current stock, net qty, and status.
Approve & Issue WOs — Allocates all prd-demands and creates RELEASED Work Orders with demand_no links. Each shift slot becomes one WO with associated WoProcesses.

Tips: Fix all ❌ errors before running simulation. If remaining_qty > 0 after simulation, add CapaPlan slots and re-run. Use the Copilot tab to ask questions about planning status or master data issues.
